The spiral of life!

Just some thoughts about life, school, and whatever else comes to mind :)

I spent most of yesterday using one of the secretaries offices since mine is not available. They are giving us new furniture for the offices but it is taking forever. My office probably won't even be operational till late Monday or Tuesday. Thank goodness I was working mainly on writing at the moment and not still modeling, so I can do it at home.
I went to this huge book sale yesterday and it was awesome. So many books, but, unfortunatley, not sorted very well. I bought 10 or 11 books at a great price. Already started into one. I am taking a stance for this weekend, I am not reading any stats books.

Study Status: taking a GLM break, need to review how SAS does some of the coding for my models. Freaked out when one of my models appeared to be going against the main hypotheses, luckily it was just a coding/intepreting problem. This is what happens when you try to interpret models late at night. I should have just hung out at Dil and Jason's.
Research Paper Status: 29 pages out of 40 pages typed, so some sections were missing and some were not in as much detail as they needed to be. That's why it is a rough copy right!
Angel Status: Met with Jerry Yesterday as well as my second reader. Explained to them about the missing sections and the shoddy sections, they seemed to understand.
Tummy Status: Hungry

I was discussing my work ethic with my sister yesterday. I thought I was one of the work hard, play harder type of people, she disagrees saying I am of a play hard, work harder type of philosophy. Gosh, it is so true. I love to go out, hang out and all that good stuff but when the crunch begins I turn into a total hermit. The beauty of being in school is that everyone else understands and does not feel ignored or neglected. And my buddies who are done school understand because they remember being in school. And I don’t totally drop out of site, I just need some advance notice so I can plan around it. For example, after getting the official date of Bexy’s part-ay I feel inspired to work ahead so I can goof off that day without having to worry too much about the paper that night. Okay time to go; just realized there is less than 24 hours to my meeting with Jerry tomorrow…eeek!

Study Status: have to review other sections of GLM
Research Paper Status: 22 pages out of 40 pages typed

Tummy Status: Hungry once again. Thank Goodness it is Lunch Time!

My Organic marks are up!! Explain if this makes sense, I take the pre-requisite four years ago and I end up getting 13% higher in Org II than in Org I. I am so excited, okay time for some sorbet and yogurt shakes. Now, I am just waiting to find out my English marks. I feel quite nervous because I felt terrible after that exam. Oh... Shakes all the same. Then continuing with the paper, I have to finsih a rough copy to give my supervisor by friday. Wish me Luck! Here I go.

In case people freaked seeing the word virus. No worries it does not send emails and infect other people computers, just slows down the computer by copying and recopying files which takes up lots of space.

Spent most of my evening trying to get rid of a Trojan virus on my computer. In the end, turns out the virus was pretty much inactive and I am yet to discover why my computer is mad at me. Who knows! Started working on my paper earlier on, but only managed to come up with a detailed outline…I named each chapter properly : ) Anyway, nothing else too exciting.
Oh no, that’s a lie. I got my legs waxed today and got an extra 3000 points at shoppers. If you have never waxed before, I highly recommend it. It is great for exfoliating the skin and you are hair free for a few weeks. Smooth legs yet not an ounce of sun or rahter heat coming my way. It snowed today...grrr

I am done Organic Chemistry II! Hurrah! It can never come back to haunt me, and frankly I am glad I waited to take it here. I just finished the exam about 5minutes ago and I feel good despite leaving early. It was really a 2-hour exam in a 3-hour slot he told us. Wow! I am finally done exams. Sorry to everyone I have been neglecting, thanks for understanding. I will be returning emails soon enough and maybe calls. I should mention I still have a research paper to write so there may be some more neglect but I will try to update the blog more often to keep y'all up to date.

Current Mood: Excited :)
Current Music: computers humming away in my office
