The spiral of life!

Just some thoughts about life, school, and whatever else comes to mind :)

Okay, one down two to go...I am totally experiencing that brain dead feeling after a final so I am taking the night off. I went to the store and bought lots of yummy things to eat while I study and some tapioca. I have been craving tapioca for some odd reason. I think its a warm fuzzy type food like oatmeal (love those oats:)
What else is exciting? I got some more mail! Thanks Bexy, and Thanks Laurka! You girls picked such cute cards!
And a special message to Mel, I was laughing as I read about your search for an outfit that coordinates with your flat shoes! And I have to agree with the comment, be proud and tall in whatever shoes you like, he will deal with it. As for me, my situation is no longer a situation. It has been decided that sleeping, reading, and consuming alcohol is more reasonable than taking me out for dinner. And so the romance ends before it even begins...oh well on with life 
Another thing, I have to say I miss McLennan and PSE, studying here is a different experience altogether and it is odd to walk around the library and not recognize people. Perhaps, it is better less time procrastinating by chatting with other folk.
Oh and note to Shannon, as for the “matching” boots, at one point when I could not decide which colour to get the sales lady told me to get one of each and start a new trend. And I must say I contemplated it for more than a second or two.

Yesterday was a crazy day.. It was also the last day before seriously hitting the books. I went shopping with a friend to help her find an outfit for a formal engagement. In the end three of us went on this shopping adventure, well as adventurous as you can get in the KW area in terms of shopping. In the end, we got her two stunning outfits and I had to get one of them myself. And we got matching boots... they are lovely. To die for...well that’s how my bank account feels about it anyway. I decided they were gifts to get myself motivated to study...and for being a GLM Goddess. :) Also, I finally got my birthday present from Shannon :) (my birthday is in Feb in case you are getting a little worried) Which reminds me... Shannon check out the GSA mailing list... so I can get the docs for the next meeting. (Shannon feels my blog should also be his reminder or to do list) I am starving for some dinner so I think I might end here today.
A little bad news, since I am entering Exam Mode I may not update for the next two weeks.

Today was a crazy day, I had to hand in my paper and present a talk on it. Well... thank goodness that is over. I was starting to get a little stressed when I realized just how much work there is to be done for finals and how close my finals are... then I came home and I had gotten some mail! I got a big box of cookies from my big sis and a card from Mel. I feel so special!! The cookies are fancy too...Belgian chocolate cookies...mmmm. Then I watched Miss Congeniality and I loved it! I should have entered Miss Teen Sudbury when I had the chance. Kudos to Patty for doing it when we were still in highschool!!

Anyway, I am gearing up to become a library bum from now on, oh the life, day night library.
oh.. before I forget, for those asking about the password for the Montreal Pics... My password encryption stuff is not working yet so there are no pictures up yet. Hopefully, I can get them up after finals.

Oh and some other news, I have been asked to write an article on "HOW TO BLOG" for the grad paper, so in the near future I might be asking you (my readers) for some comments, feedback, yada yada yada..cool!

Sorry about the delay between posting, I was rather flattered when I got a little flack about not posting religiously. Does that mean people are actually enjoying reading my blog, well at least I know Bexy does :) I went to my departmental Christmas party yesterday and it was lovely. It was a potluck and there was soooo much food, I didn't get a chance to try everything though, I was too full after going around once. I made vegetable skewers, and shrimp and vegetable skewers. I had this silly notion it would be oh so easy to do, and given it is not difficult, it took about an hour and a half to skewer everything on to those little wooden sticks. Not the best thing to do when you have a 10-page paper and presentation on Monday, but it was worth the effort. People really enjoyed it, and there was none left at the end of the evening :) I was a little worried that I would be bringing tons back home with me.
Maybe I will put a link onto my website for all my favourite recipes!! I am so excited it is December, not because I like snow, but because it means Christmas break is sooo much closer. And I can actually spend some time with people I rarely see like Bexy and Mel, who did make the trek to my housewarming party in September.
I am having a happy day despite having to write this paper, after all its really pretty outside and I am wearing my big bird outfit (yellow fleecy pants and sweater).
