Week Two:

I started this week on a friendly note. I arrived for rounds to meet my friend Andrew from McGill; he is one of the third year residents there. It is always fun to have an old friend on the same team as you. We goofed off a lot and I was able to poke fun at him and not worry about him not taking it well.

This week, Ceci stopped by on her way to Toronto. We had a nice dinner and enjoyed my favourite…green onion pancakes. I gave her the Harry and the Potters shirt I got her which said “Save Ginny” and she loved it! She had actually seen the band play on campus in Seattle. Cool h!

This weekend was tons of fun. It started on Friday with movie night. Then on Saturday Andrea and I hit the shops. I mean really hit the shops, my credit card was blazing a trail through Vancouver’s shopping district like no tomorrow. I got some fab clothes, accessories, but no shoes. Afterwards I met up with Sio and we went for dinner at GUU. Crazy Japanese restaurant that serves food tapas style but they yell all your orders back and forth. It was crazy but really yummy. Sunday I went to the aquarium and also checked out a bit of Stanley Park. Afterwards I met Sio’s soon to be roomie and went to Naam with Sio, her, and her friends. Naam was a super yummy vegetarian restaurant. Afterwards, I went home to study some pediatric urology for my last week at the children’s’ hospital.
