The spiral of life!

Just some thoughts about life, school, and whatever else comes to mind :)

So post rotation, I went home to soak up some much needed TLC. Hanging out with the family was fabulous as always. I ate yummy food, relaxed, chatted about life, and just be me. I guess we all like to think we are always being ourselves, but I have to say there are a few sides to me that probably only my family are really privy to. Its not that I hide these aspects of myself but I guess the situation never presents itself in interactions with other people.

Saturday was the much anticipated boat cruise, which was organized by my classmate’s boyfriend so he could propose to her on the boat. Very sweet but I would have been mortified. I am huge romantic but I guess I would like a more private setting for something like that. Anyway, it was lovely lovely.

I also wore my green contacts for the event. I have had them for ages, but I never wear them. I don’t think my classmates here have ever seen them, peeps at UW have seen them a few times. The main reason I don’t wear them is that they are not prescription, so they are just for colour. I had quite a range of responses to them at the boat cruise, mostly positive. Most people thought they were fun and different, although I had a few odd responses. Claire was convinced I was hypnotizing her with my eyes, it was pretty funny whereas some of my male friends could not even look at me. I thought the latter was an odd response, especially when one of them told me I looked like I had glass eyes. I didn’t think they looked so odd thankfully most of them came around, but apparently some people really couldn’t handle it. Nothing beats people making you paranoid about the way you look.
